The wheat packs
I make come in two sizes. The large is about 52cm long (divided into 3
sections) by 13cm wide, comes with a ribbon, and weighs about a
kilogram. The small is anywhere from 6cm by 20cm (good for eyes) up to about 16cm by 25cm. Ideal for treatment of aching muscles, muscle spasms, injuries
over 48 hours old, and any lower back pain. Or just to help keep warm
on a cold night. Wheat packs cost $10 each for the large, and $5 each for the small.
Wheat packs are generally available made from any cotton fabrics shown
on these pages and usually some one-off fabrics also (sorry, the
cat fabric shown below is no longer available, but we have other
similar patterns). If you would
like anything unusual feel free to ask.
Instructions - Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes (large) or 30-40
seconds (small) with half a cup of water to prevent the wheat from
drying out and burning. Wheat packs do not last forever, if it smells
burnt or musty then it is time to replace it. Do not allow your wheat pack to
get wet. Wheat packs can be placed in the freezer, but only if sealed
in an airtight bag before chilling and until back to room temperature.
